Ukulele Christmas Songs
Its that time of year when music teachers and music therapists are dusting off the Christmas sheet music to get ready for the Christmas music holiday season. (I have been getting my ukulele Christmas songs organised this weekend!) Are you even a music teacher or music therapist if you haven’t played “Jingle Bells” at least once a day in the month of December?! All jokes aside it can be a really magical time of year for children and its so wonderful to be able to be a part of their discovery of and achievement in learning Christmas classics.
However, sometimes sheet music, lead sheets or chord sheets for the Christmas classics can be visually unappealing to younger children or those with additional needs. I have been working on exploring and learning ukulele chords with one of my music therapy clients. They love Christmas songs so I wanted to create visually appealing chord and lyric sheets for Ukulele festive song learning. We are still working virtually for these sessions so the more visual the better for screen sharing in zoom. I developed a pdf of 5 and one of 10 easily adapted chord based Christmas songs to play on the uke. They contain a chord chart, lyrics and are visually appealing for virtual online learning.
